8:07 pm - Comedy things
|
We Need Answers continues to be gloriously silly and incredibly geeky. My crush on Mark Watson grows a little bit every time his voice cracks.
I just listened to my first episode of I've Never Seen Star Wars. It's rather good, isn't it? Anybody know where I might find other episodes? I'd like to listen to the Barry Cryer one.
QI is on soon. If there are no men kissing then I will be very disappointed.

I have a day off work. It has been a lovely day of sunshine, shopping and Starbucks. I bought Lego Batman for the Wii.
Did anyone watch We Need Answers on BBC4 last night? It was very silly and random. I approve. Also, Michael Rosen's giggling is love. ♥ ETA: Ooh, Robert Llewellyn is on next week!

I've started listening to Old Harry's Game. It's one of those things that I'm always hearing good things about and I keep thinking about giving it a try but somehow never quite get around to it. I'm nearly at the end of series 2 and am already completely in love. I adore Thomas, in an Arnold Rimmer sort of way. I miss Gary though, I preferred him to Scumspawn. How come they never explained what happened to him? Meh.

Argh, hairdressers in 20 minutes and I only just woke up!

(and yet I still found time to panic about this on LJ. I have problems)

3:17 pm - ISIHAC
|
I've only just spotted this news. Half of me is ecstatically happy, half of me is convinced that it just won't work at all with anyone else as chairman. Still, at least it'll get Graeme Garden back on my radio. ♥
Along the same vein, this is firmly in the 'ecstatically happy' camp. WANT. Though - stand-up? Really? o_O

4:16 pm - *confused face*
|
Anyone savvy with iPods/iTunes?
When I'm watching a video, if I select TV shows then it remembers the last episode I was watching - show->season->episode->position in episode. Marvellous.
When I go back to listening to music, it remembers the last playlist/album I was listening to, but not which track I was up to. And when I'm listening to something like Just a Minute, and I have to try and remember which of the 200-odd episodes I was halfway through, it's a little annoying.
Anybody know a way to fix it?

I'm stuffed full of Singapore Noodles, I've just successfully completed Zoo Tycoon on DS, and BBC4 are repeating Takin' Over The Asylum starting tonight.
Simple things are making me happy today.

All day long I've had David Fury in my head saying, "Next up - who's gay!"

6:55 pm - Thursday night comedy
|
I was slightly disappointed by the new Mock The Week. Maybe because Hugh seemed unusually quiet. Maybe because there was no Dara intro. Maybe because Michael MacIntyre, along the same vein as Jimmy Carr, makes me want to PUNCH HIM IN THE FACE. Maybe because Lucy Porter (who?) was so unfunny that she should not be allowed to speak. Bah, humbug.
Lab Rats was a bit pants, but worth watching for Ford Prefect (squee!) and for the loveliness of Chris Addison and for the prettiness of Chris Addison's hair.

3:55 pm - 'Humphrey Lyttelton Day' was a bit of a misnomer, wasn't it?

3 programmes? I was expecting a couple of hours of tribute shows, a couple of hours of shows he appeared on, and then an afternoon of back-to-back ISIHAC.
Bad form, BBC, bad form.

Lego Star Wars is officially the cutest game EVER. Tiny Lego lightsabers! Tiny Lego R2D2! And it's just as sad when tiny Lego Qui-Gon dies as it is in the film.
And I could listen to Rob Brydon singing forever and never get bored of it. Damn that man has a sexy voice.

9:56 pm - Comedy stuff
|
Last night's Mock The Week on Dave was the episode with Adam Hills' foot. I never get tired of it.
I found an episode of Just A Minute with Richard Vranch. I'm very excited about this because it occurs to me that I've never actually heard him speak. EVER.
Where can I find a pretty comedy-themed desktop wallpaper for Frankie? I can only find crap ones.

12:18 pm - Why does everywhere except here have snow? I want snow.

Though it's probably the stupidly changing weather that has given me this stinking cold.
My horsie in the Grand National came 9th. Not bad, but not enough to win me any money. Boo.
Last night's Doctor Who was pants. I'm not optimistic for the rest of this series at all.
I finally got around to watching ( The Colour of Magic. )
